Broad moves that work together, with the response curve in view.

Low Peak

Add body with five frequency positions from 200 Hz to 1 kHz. Use small boosts for weight, then balance them against the Dip band.

Dip

Reduce boxiness, nasal tone or harshness with eleven positions from 200 Hz to 7 kHz. Its broad cut interacts with both peak bands.

High Peak

Bring presence and articulation forward with five positions from 1.5 to 5 kHz. Balance the boost with a nearby dip to shape the middle of a vocal or instrument.

Interacting bands

Boost and dip can overlap without cancelling exactly. Watch the combined response and listen to the result as you adjust each band.

Analog

Enable the modelled amplifier and transformer colour, or turn Analog off for the EQ network alone. Analog is on by default.

Output and comparison

Trim Output by up to 12 dB in either direction. Use the In switch to compare processed and unprocessed audio at a similar listening level.

Start with the track

Start with a small Low Peak or High Peak boost, then move the Dip frequency to find the space the track needs. The amount dials run from 0 to 10; they are control positions, not direct dB values. The bands interact, so judge the combined curve and match the final level with Output.
