Privacy and cookies

Optional ad measurement
With your permission, we use Google Ads to measure visits from our ads, completed signups and purchases. Google may receive the public page you visit, ad-click identifiers, your IP address and browser or device information. For a confirmed purchase, we also send the paid amount, currency and a random order reference to prevent duplicate counting. It may store advertising measurement cookies in your browser.
Google’s tag loads only after you choose “Allow measurement”. Rejecting it leaves downloads, accounts and plugins available. We keep personalised advertising signals off. We do not send email addresses, account details, activation codes or form contents as measurement data.
The tag is excluded from account, password recovery, plugin activation and administration pages. We also exclude pages with unrecognised URL parameters or fragments. A download click is not an installation or an activated trial.
A completed signup means the first successful verification of your account email. If you have allowed measurement, we send this event from a separate confirmation page with a random identifier used to prevent duplicates. This identifier does not contain your email, account ID or verification code. The event has no revenue value. A short-lived, one-use cookie carries the confirmation between our own pages and expires within ten minutes; it is not an account sign-in cookie.
A purchase is measured only after our server confirms payment. A separate, one-use confirmation cookie expires within ten minutes. The random measurement reference is stored against your order for deduplication; it contains no email, account ID or payment-provider identifier. If your earlier choice covered visits and signups only, we ask for an updated choice before measuring purchases. Declining measurement does not affect checkout or your licenses.

Your choice
We remember your choice in this browser for up to 180 days. You can change it using “Cookie settings” in the footer. If you withdraw permission, we turn off measurement and remove Google Ads cookies we can access on our domain. The page may reload to stop the loaded tag. This does not delete data already received by Google.
Necessary site storage
Our sign-in cookie keeps your session secure. The site may also remember your cart and a pending plugin connection in your browser. The consent choice itself uses local storage, with an opt-out cookie as a fallback if an earlier choice cannot be replaced. These are separate from optional advertising cookies.
Accounts and plugin access
We use account information, email verification, licence and trial records, and device activation information to provide downloads, connect plugins and prevent abuse. These records are not used as Google Ads event data.
Purchases
When you continue to payment, Paddle handles checkout as the merchant of record. We share your account email and selected products with Paddle to create your order. Paddle collects the billing and payment information you enter and processes payments, taxes, receipts and refunds. Spark Audio does not receive or store your full card details.
We keep order identifiers, purchased products, amounts, payment status and licence records so we can deliver your purchase and handle support or refunds. The payment checkout loads when you choose to pay, separately from optional advertising measurement. Read Paddle’s privacy notice for how Paddle handles your information.
Operational notifications
We send account registration, email verification, plugin activation and confirmed purchase notifications to a private administrator chat through Telegram. These messages include your account email and the relevant plugin, licence type, device name or order amount and identifier. They help us monitor activity and provide support. Passwords, verification links, activation tokens, hardware identifiers and card details are not included. Message details are removed from our delivery queue after successful delivery; the messages remain in the administrator chat.

Optional email updates
If you subscribe, sparkaudio bv (Postbus 278, 6880 AC Oosterbeek) uses your email address to send plugin releases, offers and getting-started tips. Registering an account alone does not subscribe you. Newsletter subscriptions are confirmed by email; verified account holders can also choose their preference directly.
We record your subscription choice, its date and wording, and campaign submission status. We may use account activation and purchase status to choose relevant emails. We do not add tracking pixels or measure email opens. Our email provider processes messages to deliver them. AI drafting receives product information only, not subscriber addresses or account records.
You can unsubscribe through any marketing email or manage your preference. Account service emails remain separate. We retain a minimal subscription and suppression record to respect your choice and prevent unwanted resending.
